Hi, Welcome to Joy!

I'm so happy you're here! My name is AJ, and I'm the face behind the Joy Images camera! My passion for photography has been cultivated over 2 decades, starting from the time that I could get my hands on those wind up film cameras! Growing up, I frequently asked for cameras or camera equipment as gifts, and took as many photos as I could as often as I could (including taking senior photos for my brother and some friends!)! After I went to college, photography sort of fell to the wayside as I worked on establishing my own professional career and building my newly minted family. After 5 years in my professional career, I felt a longing to be back in a creative space where I could produce beautiful art. With the support of my loving husband and some encouragement from a long-time friend, I jumped back in head first and I've been loving every minute that Joy Images has brought to me! I consider it such an honor to be able to step into your life, even for just a few hours, to experience you and your family in a way that will be looked back on for years to come! I believe that relationships with other people are one of life's greatest treasures and it still excites me to capture your relationships on my camera!
